CutGeek takes the background out of a photograph, at full size, on your own machine.
Drop a photograph in and CutGeek writes out a copy with the background removed. Choose a transparent PNG, a flat colour from six presets including passport blue and green screen, or the original background blurred behind the subject. JPEG, PNG, WebP, BMP, GIF and HEIC are all accepted.

The result is exactly the size of the photograph that went in. That is the thing the web services charge for, and there is nothing to charge for: the model only ever looks at a small square and produces a mask at that size, which is scaled back up and applied to the original pixels.

Four models are offered, from 4.6 MB to 179 MB, and none are bundled into the installer. Every model download is checked against a SHA-256 recorded inside the application and deleted if it does not match, so CutGeek runs the exact file it was tested with or nothing at all.

EXIF orientation is read and applied, so phone photographs do not come out sideways. Originals are only ever read; if a cutout of that name already exists, the next one is numbered.

No account, no server, no upload, no credits, no monthly allowance and no per-image limit. Free to use, including at work. GPL-3.0.
